Well, well, well… this is going to be a very interesting 23 days. Reporters are calling and checks are appearing in my mailbox. I wasn’t planning to raise money given this short time line but I’m working with the Secretary of State to register a committee for a vacancy appointment. I do appreciate the outpouring of support.
Unfortunately, money will have a factor in this race. I can’t compete on the level of outspending an opponent, and quite honestly I strongly support publicly funding elections. I run a grassroots campaign that relies on relationships and twenty-five years of service to our community. Throughout this process, you as the deciding precinct committee people can expect direct communication from me and the opportunity to personally dialogue at any point.
Below are my credentials as well as a timeline for the next 23 days. While this vacancy appointment may attract attention across the state, I think we all have a role in ensuring integrity in the voting process. That is my commitment to you!

I don’t believe in vote locking and back door handshakes that may have characterized politics of the past. I do believe in full transparency and open dialogue. If you are a voting precinct committee person in Senate District 26, you are invited to attend one of these open forums to discuss why this appointment is so important and why I am the best choice for Senate District 26.
